Well, along with a fabidoo weekend my Birthday week was accompanied by a week of expansion...
Friday looked like this...
Saturday developed a little more...

Then on Monday we picked up the pace a bit, in the morning I had these...
And by Tuesday these...
Wednesday was gave me my Shadow Shot moment...
By Thursday I think we had reached capacity...

As someone who has spent quite a lot of my life not eating red meat or sometimes any meat I love mushrooms and, in the UK, eat Quorn which is a mycoprotein (ie from fungus). For some obscure reason I found the wonderful Oyster mushroom 'plant' of yours rather too much with which to cope!
Graham, it grew so rapidly it was kind of freaky, nut the oysters tasted great fried up with butter and garlic. We has Santa Ana conditions here, which are dry hot winds, last week and they should have grown more, but began to dry instead. I was ok with the growth stopping ;-)
I tried growing mushrooms a couple of years ago but didn't get anything near that impressive! I think I know what I did wrong though and seeing your photos is tempting me to try again.
Antara, these ones were really easy, the only problem we had was the dry winds came through after a bit and shocked the.
