On Friday...

We planted a tree...
But the border had rotted away...
So we created a new one...
On Saturday I went to a workshop...
On Sunday we bought a chipper...
Puppy got busy...
He made a bunch of mulch, it's picture wouldn't upload, but he added it to our unchipped pile...
And now it's time for lesson plans!

Love the tree and the new border! Everything's looking great! I could really use you two around my yard. Hubby did get out the weed eater and cut down the 6 ft. tall dandelions. I'm not joking, they were taller than hubby! Hope you have a great week!! Hugs!

How big is your yard?

What are you going to do with all those wood chips? Working out in the garden is all new to me. Looks like you guys are pros!

Tracey: Always cut weeds before they flower otherwise you end up with seeds=more weeds.
Jacki: We're on an 8000+sq ft lot with a 1500 sq ft house.
Suzie: We started composting when we got here, about 3 months ago. A bunch of the trees have been pruned poorly so we are having to help them out a bit, which means taking out inner growth to free them up in the center of the tree. This leaves a bunch of resources for composting which if you chip speeds speeds up the process, small chips as opposed to whole branches.

Ah, fun in the garden. I caught DH in vacation mode and he has agreed to make a planting box for me. Can't wait to put in lettuce, tomatos, bell peppers and pole beans.
