I collect tea cups.
At the old apartment I kept my collection small.
However with the new house I'm sure I will have room for expansion.
The other day Mrs Woolfoot posted a picture of her favorite teacup.
At first I thought to myself, I have that cup, but no, it was just a similar cup (and saucer).
It was made by Royal Chelsea and the pattern is called Golden Jade.
I definitely think it rather beautiful.

I love your collection, Cat. Quite by accident, I have accummulated six cups and saucers. People are starting to notice and think I'm collecting so now they are coming to me. I'm going to need a shelf just for them very soon.
These are very pretty. How about showing off a few more?
I want to know if you use the cups? I have some china that I'm afraid to use. I think it's a shame to have pretty things and not use them. Maybe I'll break (not literally) out the china and use it when the kids move out!
Annie: Serendipity is a great way to start a collection!
Have fun putting a shelf up. My husband made a set for me at our old place stained them in cherry to bring the cups color out and everything.
KSV: I'm thinking of doing a Cup of The Week entry. Introducing a new one each week and maybe even researching them a bit as I go.
Tracey: I haven't gotten brave enough to break them out for a tea yet, but maybe soon.
My mom collects tea cups and I always try to add to hers. I've managed to even snag a nice one in Denmark.
It is beautiful! They're all beautiful! I have a very small collection too that I really love. There is something so Victorian and old world about them that I adore. I have always wanted to go for high tea. I think you should join me!
My grandmother collected teacups and I have one from her collection that I truly treasure.
Jacki: It wasn't some of that lovely Danish Blueware?
Suzie: Let's do tea! We could co-ordinate timezones etc. We could even post each other home made cookies.
Kelsey: I actually have one of my husbands grandmothers cups (as gifted to me by my sister in-law before my wedding). I will be writing on that one soon!
Lovely collection - and gorgeous blue shelves, too! Cup of the week sounds great. I might join in with that!
